Abstract

Aligator gar (Atractosteus spatula) adalah ikan primitif dari jenis gar, penelitian mengenai histologi organ ginjal dan testis ikan gar masih sedikit, oleh karena itu, menarik untuk di teliti mengenai histologi organ ginjal dan testis ikan Aligator. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur histologi organ ginjal dan testis pada ikan Aligator (Atractosteus spatula). Pada penelitian ini digunakan 4 ekor ikan Aligator remaja yang masing-masing pembuatan preparat histologi organ ginjal dan testis ikan Aligator (Atractosteus spatula) dengan metode parafin yang digunakan adalah pewarnaan Hematoxylin-Eosin dan Mallory Triple Stain. Dari hasil pengamatan, organ ginjal pada organ jantan ikan Aligator (Atractosteus spatula) pada pewarnan menggunakan HE ditemukan terdapat adanya glomerulus, epitel kubus selapis, renal tubule, lumen, sedangkan pada pewarnan menggunakan Mallory Triple Stain ditemukan terdapat adanya jaringan ikat pada renal tubul, renal tubul, epitel kubus selapis. Organ testis pada ikan Aligator (Atractosteus spatula) pada pewarnan menggunakan HE ditemukan terdapat adanya spermatid, membran basal, spermatogonia, sedangkan pada pewarnan Mallory Triple Stain ditemukan terdapat adanya tubulus seminiferus, spermatogonia.
