Abstract

Image processing techniques play an important role in the making of room monitoring system that can detect movement automatically. There are a lot of methods that have been implemented for the research about room monitoring system. But still there weakness and deficiency of each research. Therefore, research of another image processing methods is still needed to be applied in the room monitoring system. In this research, image processing method that is apllied is phase only correlation method. The purpose of this research is to know the work of that method for detecting infiltrator. Phase only correlation is used to find correlation value of two images. First, spacial domain of those two images must be changed to frequency domain until we get the value of those two images. This phase value will be counted for getting correlation value of two images. In this research, testing uses 10 scenarios with different conditions and objects. That scenarios are divided to two parts, 4 scenarios for human object with 11 conditions and 6 scenarios for non-human object with 13 conditions. The testing result is this method detects 10 of 11 conditions of human, and detects 9 of 13 conditions of non-human object. From the result, lighting change is influential for this method. It can be seen from result of non-human object there are 8 conditions that influenced by lighting change. Based on that result, can be concluded that this method works good and can detect objects, but still influenced by lighting change.
