Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Putri Al Munawwir Komplek Q banyak memilik santri dari berbagai macam latar belakang keluarga, ekonomi dan pendidikan yang berbeda. Santri di Ponpes Al Munawwir mayoritas merupakan mahasiswi yang memiliki kegiatan yang banyak sehingga harus membagi waktu antara kuliah dengan menghafal Al Qur’an. Motivasi dalam menghafal Al Qur’an pada satu mahasiswi dengan mahasiswi yang lain dapat berbeda-beda. Motivasi bisa berasal dari diri sendiri, keluarga atau lingkungan. Hal tersebut sangat menentukan berhasil tidaknya serta lancar tidaknya dalam proses menghafal Al Qur’an. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis akan menjelaskan motivasi mahasiswi dalam menghafal Al Qur’an, kecenderungan prestasi belajar mahasiswi yang menghafal Al Qur’an, dan faktor pendorong dan penghambat dalam menghafal Al Qur’an. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode observasi, metode interview, metode angket dan metode dokumentasi untuk memperoleh data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa (1) motivasi mahasiswi menghafal Al Qur’an di PPP Al Munawwir dikategorikan “baik”, (2) aktivitas dalam menghafal Al Qur’an tidak mengurangi prestasi belajar di Perguruan Tinggi, dan sebaliknya, (3) faktor pendorong dalam menghafal Al Qur’an yaitu keluarga yang harmonis dan mendukung, usia yang masih muda, dan kemauan diri sendiri. Sedangkan faktor penghambat antara lain kesibukan, malas, kekasih, gangguan-gangguan jiwa, dan banyaknya ayat-ayat yang serupa yang menyebabkan sulit untuk dihafalkan.
