Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Serulingmas Wildlife Park as Learning Resource of Biology to learning outcomes and motivation at SMP Negeri 1 Karangkobar in 2012/2013. This research used a Quasi-Experimental design; Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The research population was students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Karangkobar. The sample of this research consisted of two classes which were taken purposively, is class VIII D as control group and class VII E as the experimental group. The research instruments were questionnaires of students' learning motivation which taken were analyzed by using Kolmogorof-Smirnof Test and data of cognitive learning outcomes in students is a post-test which is analyzed by using T Paired Test. The results in this research show that (1) there is no significant effect (p> 0.05) on cognitive learning outcomes of students. It is indicated by the result of T Paired Test with p = 0.138. (2) There is no significant effect (p> 0.05) on students' motivation. It is indicated by the result of Kolmogorof-Smirnov Test with p = 0.135
