Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out correlation between students’ perception to school counselor and students’ interest to do counseling at school. The subjects in the research are students of class X, XI, XII SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The number of subjects in this research are 143 students. The data are obtained using perception to school counselor and students’ interest to do counseling at school scales, and spearman rho is used as a stastical analysis technique. The analysis results showed that there was positive correlation between students’ perception to school counselor and students’ interest to do counseling at school. The result of the data analysis acquired the values of speraman rho = 0,321 and p= 0,000 (p< 0,01). Therefore, hypothesis was accepted. Then, R square (r2)=0,106 that means the effective contribution of students’ perception to student’s interest to do counseling at school was 10,6%. So that while as many 80,4% contributions by another factors.
