Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of ethical use of computers with job satisfaction. Total of 50 questionnaires were distributed to employees of the company. Responses to statements on a scale that is used as a statistical correlation analysis, using parametric correlation test of Product Moment. Measurement of job satisfaction consists of three aspects: the job of giving a sense of accomplishment, fun work, and the feeling of doing something useful on the job, which is taken from the aspect of job satisfaction according to Ivancevich (2007). While the measurement is taken from the ethical use of computers indicators presented by Sulianta (2007), namely: the computer is not used to harm others, does not interfere with the rights of others, please do not open a file that is not right, do not use the computer for a crime, do not use the computer for information false, not duplicating software, the use of computer resources as necessary, do not utilize the intellectual property of others, consider the consequences of a computer system designed, consider the social environment when using the computer. Results of this study indicate that the ethical use of computers has a significant relationship with job satisfaction. These results show corelation coeficiency 0,556 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.01). These meaning that the ethical use of computers that will be adhered to make an employee feel happy at work because the job done easier with the help of computers so that employees are encouraged to channel his ability for the company. Will develop a sense of good feeling satisfied with the jobs which are done, so he pushed for office tasks diligently, never give up, work with the maximum, to complete the task in accordance with the target, and always do a good job for him because of work activity is a useful activity in life.
