Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between childhood insecure attachment and early adulthood religiosity in student Faculty of Social Science and Humanities Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This research were used quantitative methods. The data collected by using religiosity 1 scales, religiosity 2 scales and insecure attachment scales. Product moment Pearson Correlation is used as a stastical analysis technique by using statistical software SPSS 16.00 for windows. The analysis results showed that there was negative significant correlation between insecure attachment and religiosity in student Faculty of Social Science and Humanities Islamic State University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Insecure attachment has direct impact on religiosity. The results of the data analysis acquired the values of (rxy) = -0,373 and p= 0,000 (p< 0,01). Therefore, hypothesis in this study was accepted. Then, R square (r2)=0, 139 that mean the effective contribution of insecure attachment to religiosity was 13,9%. Results of the analysis showed that low influence from insecure attachment is not the only factor that can influence religiosity's person. There are still 86.1% other factors which not identified in this study may also influence religiosity through a better way.
