Abstract
Hilangnya kontrol keluarga atas waktu merupakan salah satu masalah paling membingungkan yang dihadapi orangtua dewasa ini. Perlu disadari dan fakta bahwa nilai-nilai sama sekali berbeda dengan apa yang diinginkan untuk diserap oleh anak-anak ketika mereka menikmati acara TV. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan dan penelitian lapangan. Untuk penelitian pustaka metode yang digunakan adalah metode induktif dan deduktif, sedang untuk penelitian lapangan melalui metode dokumentasi, angket, interview, dan observasi. Metode analisa datanya memakai analisis data statistic. Intensitas menonton televisi siswa SDN Nolobangsan bisa dikategorikan memiliki intensitas cukup tinggi, Prestasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam siswa cukup baik, sedang intensitas menonton televisi berhubungan/berpengaruh (meski sangat lemah) terhadap prestasi belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam siswa. Hubungan ini bersifat berlawanan yang ditunjukkan oleh tanda negatif dalam hasil perhitungan indeks korelasi product moment.
