Abstract
Intelegensia mempunyai peran dalam keberhasilan seseorang mempelajari sesuatu, karena pada umumnya orang berpendapat bahwa intelegensia merupakan salah satu factor penting yang ikut menentukan berhasil atau tidaknya belajar seseorang, terlebih-lebih pada waktu anak masih sangat muda, intelegensia sangat besar pengaruhnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research), dan metode penentuan subyeknya menggunakan teknik sampling. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan metode dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa regresi dua predictor (regresi berganda) kemudian dilanjutkan analisis korelasi. Ada hubungan yang positif tetapi tidak bermakna antara tingkat intelegensia (IQ) dan pemanfaatan waktu belajar di luar jam pelajaran sekolah secara bersama-sama dengan prestasi belajar kimia siswa kelas II semester gasal MAN Yogyakarat II tahun ajaran 2002/2003.
