Abstract
Tugas guru adalah melihat kembali alat penilaian hasil belajar yang digunakan diantaranya tentang validitas soal. Apabila diketahui kelemahan alat penilaian hasil belajar yang digunakan, maka dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk memperbaiki penilaian hasil belajar pada waktu yang akan datang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research), sumber datanya menggunakan teknik populasi. Pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi, sedang teknik analisa datanya menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Ditemukan adanya kesalahan konsep dan konstruksi pada penyusunan butir soal ulangan umum kimia kelas I, II, III IPA semester gasal MAN Pakem Sleman tahun pelajaran 2002/2003.
