Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in culture, one of which is the traditional music. Almost every region in Indonesia has many different types of music, so that in each of these areas also have a variety of different musical instruments. Of some traditional musical instruments which is well-known amongst people called Suling. However, the information people obtained about the suling is still lacking. Therefore, web-based encyclopedia system of suling instrument is needed to facilitate people in learning to know kinds of suling in Indonesia. System development methods in this study using SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) using a waterfall model. The waterfall model is a systematic approach and the sequence ranging from system-level requirements, and then to the analysis, design, coding, testing / verification, and maintenance. Encyclopedia system of suling instruments has passed testing phase, involving 15 testers. Testing Scenario in this study using the Black Box method, which focuses on the functionality of the system, it is done by users accessing the system and fill out a questionnaire given. From the test results, we can conclude that the encyclopedia system of flute instrument is proper to use.
