Abstract
Online media is one of the positive impacts of the media development with the invention of the internet. One of the advantages of online media is news update which is no longer in amatter of days or hours but seconds. That online media advantage is very good to be appreciated. However, the things that cannot be ignored is the online media’s abilityto constructnews. News in online media affected by the ideology and the ownership of the media. This research observes how the construction of Tempo.co and Viva.co.id in case of verification dispute in political party, it is PBB in general election 2014. This research done by using Framing analysis method by Pan Kosicki in Tempo.co and Viva.co.id edition of 1stJanuary-31st March 2013. The theory usedin this research is reality construction theory, media construction of reality, and online journalism theory. The result shows that construction of Tempo.co in case of verification dispute of political party that involving KPU and PBB, tends to favor to PBB and be critical against KPU. In other side, the construction of Viva.co.id in the same case is netral and objective.
