Abstract

One indication that humans as social beings, is the behavior of human communication. Humans can not live alone, definitely need other people. From birth to death, are likely to require assistance from another person (not limited to family, relatives, and friends). In the world of education, the teaching process by the teacher to the student. Transfer of knowledge to the students should be made with consideration to using good communication and effective. To be able to be conveyed and the message can be absorbed well by the students. Interpersonal communication can be said to be effective according to Devito, if the realization of a common understanding of the meaning of a message, the message voluntarily implement, improve the quality of interpersonal relationships between individuals to one another. In State Senior High Schools (SMAN) 5 Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province, which is one of the favorites in high school Tanjungpinang is currently working to maximize extracurricular activities ROHIS (Islamic Spirituality) were performed once a week and stressed that activities tutored ROHIS by Master. The process of interpersonal communication (teacher guidance to members ROHIS) expected to be effective communication in an attempt to change attitudes, opinions or conduct, because it is a dialogical form of a conversation with another person. In this study, researchers wanted to try to analyze how to built interpersonal communication are effective between students and teachers on religious activities of Islamic Spirituality (ROHIS) at SMAN 5 Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province?. This study is expected to find the basic principles of scientific study of communication using interpersonal communication, as well as contributing as a reference material science communication, type of research to be conducted is qualitative research. In this study, researchers focused on the research subject of Islamic Spirituality (ROHIS) at SMAN 5 Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province of funds while the object of research is the qualitative description of effective interpersonal communication in SMAN 5 Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province. The results of this study, researchers found that interpersonal communication students and teachers are effective in the religious activities of Islamic spirituality (ROHIS) at SMAN 5 Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province proved effective for implementing three main requirements of interpersonal communication and a positive attitude to practice 5 towards effective interpersonal communication.
