Abstract

Information Technology has been widely applied to library institutions. Augmented Reality (AR), which is usually used in educational institutions to assist the teaching and learning process, has also been applied to library services at Unika Soegijapranata. As a new implementation in libraries, AR is implemented in ARlib (Augmented Reality Libraries). It is necessary to look at the implementation and quality of its use in order to meet the needs for information sources, especially for students who are the millennial generation and generation Z who have the characteristic of not being able to be separated from gadgets. This research will evaluate the level of utilization of ARlib (Augmented Reality Libraries) in the Soegijapranata Catholic University Library, Semarang. Data collection uses questionnaires, interviews and observations. Data analysis through: tabulating data based on variables, presenting data; Carry out calculations using a Likert scale, and calculate the mean to answer the problem formulation. The research results show that the utilization rate of ARlib (Augmented Reality Libraries) in the Soegijapranata Catholic University Library shows very good results. Based on the Likert scale of 100 respondents, after tabulating it to calculate the average, the mean calculation result was found to be 3.128. From this figure it can be interpreted that the overall quality of ARlib (Augmented Reality Library ) utilization at the Unika Soegijapranata Semarang Library in one year shows a Very Good value. Apart from that, the calculation of all dimensions shows that the highest score obtained compared to other dimensions is the ease of use (learnability) component, namely 3.3900. Meanwhile, the error dimension has the lowest value, namely 2.79, and is followed by the satisfaction dimension, namely 3.16, the memorability dimension, 3.195, the fulfillment dimension of information sources, namely 3.195 and efficiency, namely 3.2233.
