Abstract

Annisa Chasanah Septiani (2014) Analysis of Information Fulfillment’s English Literature Student Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences in Library State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta This research aims to measures the level of the user’s information need in UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta’s library. The type of this research is quantitative description. Subject in this research is student of English Literature in State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and the object of this research is information fulfilment of the user in to collections in UIN Sunan Kalijaga’s Yogyakarta library. Population of this research is student of English Literature UIN Sunan Kalijaga 2010-2013 class year as 268 students. From that population, it can take sampling as 73 respondents. That sample taken by stratified random sampling technique. Variable in this research is single variable for 2 subvariable. Methode of data collection which is the main using questioner methode. Validity test using Product Moment formula and reliability test using Alpha Cronbach formula with helps of software SPSS 17 for Windows. The data analysis use mean formula and grand mean formula. With result by 2,53 points, information fulfillment of English Literature Student in Faculty of Adab and Cultural Sciences State UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta classified in high. Severally suggest that wants to be passed on by researcher: (1) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta library needs to add general collections that corresponds to user needs in teaching and learning process at University, (2) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library provide serial collections that corresponds to user's needs and serial collection that can help user in solve college task, (3) UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library have arranged programs user education but still a lot of user's does not know that library provides e-collection. Library need to promote again about e-collection, (4) Library get to work with lecturers in acquisition and collection development to provide relevant collection in accordance with user needs and to support curriculum.
