Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the patterns of leadership in organizational communication. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The technique used to collect the data were interviews, observation, literature and documentaries. Leadership communication patterns is a form of connotation of strong imagery and dynamic individual who determines achievements in leading an organization. After the occurrence of regional autonomy in Indonesia, each region is given the authority to set their own region and development planning should be based on objective analysis in each region. This context leader of Badan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Perempuan dan Keluarga Berencana Kabupaten Magelang has the organizational task structure is divided into several units of work focus. Every employee organization has access to a high correlation, and the organizational structure has similarities with The Linking Pin Model by Likert and Theory X and Theory Y by McGregor with a human approach in organizational communication. The conclusion of this study resulted in a democratic leadership style and leadership based on lattice theory leads to the middle-of-the-road leader style. Employees staff can work well based on Theory X is determined on the tendency of staff employee motivation is driven by material factors, safety and security. Employees can satisfy social needs, esteem and self-actualization with crosschannel communication. However, it raised the possibility that may interfere with control over the flow of information. The slow action group is a structured organization characteristic The Linking Pin Model that is meant to be balanced with the benefits of participation and positive contribution of each member of the organization.
