Abstract

This research aims to: (1) develop and generate the product of an integration-interconnection based physics module as a source of self study on the subject Einstein’s special theory of relativity for students third grade high school. (2) determine the quality of an integration-interconnection based physics module which has been made. (3) determine the students response on the physics module, which has been made. This research using research and development (R&D) method with a procedural model. The model adapted from developmental steps that undertaken by Borg and Gall and which simplify byed Puslitjaknov team to five main steps, as follows: (1) analyzing the product which will be develop. (2) developing the initial product (3) validating and revising (4) small scale field testing and revising the product (5) large scale field testing and final product. Research Instrument is a form of sheet quality module assessment using a likert scale on the form of checklist with five-scale raw scoring. The instrument for students responses are made in a likert scale with the checklist model with four-scale students response. The results of this research are (1) products of integration-interconnection based physics module containing Einstein's special theory of relativity subject for high school students of third grade. The quality of module according to physics experts is good with 79,33%, media experts is very good with value 85,33%, integration-interconnection experts is good with presentation 76,11%, and the quality examination on module according physics teacher is good with value 76% of the ideal 100%. (3) Students response to the integration-interconection based physics module both field test of small scale and field test of large scale set on high catagory.
