Abstract

This research aims to produce a product in the form of natural sciences‟s modules which it integration and interconnection-based with problem based learning approach on magnetism and electromagnetic induction‟s learning material for SMP/MTs student on Grade IX and to know the quality of its product as well as to determine the response of students about its product which the researcher developed. This research is “Research and Development (R&D)”, using a procedural research model that adapted from the development of 4D model, i.e. Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. This research instruments are the sheet of product validation, the questionnaire sheet of module‟s quality that uses a Likert scale and it made in the type of a checklist and the questionnaire sheet for learner‟s responses that using Guttman scale and it made in the type of a checklist. Analizyng data technique that was used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis. The result of this research is module for science based on the Integration-Interconnection concept using problem based learning (PBL) approach of magnetism and electromagnetic induction subject for third grade of SMP/MTs. Quality of the module according to subject specialist, media specialist, integration-interconnection concept specialist and physics teacher of senior high school is called Very Good (VG) if it's score is 3.47, 3.37, 3.31 and 3.90. Student's respond to the module for science with the result earned in small-scale test and wide-scale test is called Agree (A) if the average score 0.95 and 0.94 respectively. So the result shows that, the product developed is accepted by students.
