Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The effectiveness of inquiry learning multimedia-based training on learning outcomes of students on the subject of Heat and displacement; (2) Improved student learning outcomes inquiry learning multimedia-based training on the subject of Heat and displacement This research is a quasi experimental with pretest-posttest Matching Comparison Group Design. The research variables include variables such as inquiry learning model based multimedia training and the dependent variable in the form of learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. The population is all X.MIA class SMA Negeri 1 Kutowinangun. Sampling was done with probability sampling technique is simple random sampling, so set X.MIA class 2 as an experimental class and X.MIA 5 as the control class. Data collection techniques used were a test. Shape of the instrument using about pretest and posttest. Data analysis technique used is statistical parametric t test and normalized gain (NGain). The results showed that (1) Learning inquiry effective multimedia-based training on learning outcomes of learners as indicated by the results sig. (2-tailed) 0.022 less than the level sig (α) 0.05 in df = 61; (2) Learning inquiry multimediabased training can improve cognitive learning outcomes of students in the material heat and displacement with N-Gain results of the experimental class of 0.896 greater than the results of the N-Gain control class 0.749.
