Abstract

This research aimed to determine the existence effect of the assignment method to use the library of high school students IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta academic year 2014/2015 . Type of this research is quantitative research with survey research methods. The subject of this research were student of IT Abu Bakar High School and the object were effect of the assignment method to use the library of high school students IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta academic year 2014/2015.Variabel in the research were assignment method (independent variables) and use of the library (dependent variable). Data were obtained by questionnaires, documentation, interviews, and observations. Hypothesis test used correlation product moment and data analyzed used mean. Results of the analysis showed that the state assignment method on High School IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta academic year 2014/2015 in the high category, with a score of 2.91. The state of utilization library on High School IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta in the high category with a score of 2.87. The influence of the method of assignment to the use of the library in the low category with a correlation value of 0.385. This can be seen from the correlation between variables X (assignment methods) and Y (use of the library). In conclusion, effect of assignment method to use the library for high school students IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta stated effect but in a lower category with a correlation value of 0.385. Suggestions for teachers high school IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta expected always request the final report forms to student as telecom accountability , then the school should cooperate to promote the library and collections of the library may be photocopied for support learning in high school IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta, add a collections which interest by student, and the collections are supported to learning so the teachers can recommend students to go to the library to find a reference while working on their assignments, library give on appreciation to the students who frequently visit library and borrow some books, make a competitions or an event related to the library.
