Abstract

This researche students to discuss about the perperction of google book search as the search for information in support of the preparation of thesis the Faculty of Culture and Science of Culture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. the purpose of this research is to find the perception of students to google book search as the search for information in support of the preparation of as a thesis the Faculty of Culture and Science of Culture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive of quantitative research. The method used is a method of the questionnaire/poll, observation, and interview. The sample collection quotas use sampling techniques. The subject in this research is a students the 2011 the Faculty of Culture and Science of Culture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta with the total sample 80 students. The data processed using windows for SPSS 16.0 assistance. The percentage of the data analysis using formulas descriptive. The results of this research is good overall 2,77. Based on the average score can be conclude that the perception of the students to google book search as the search for information in support of the preparation of a thesis in the Facult of Culture and Science of Culture UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta can be classified as either. The perception of the highest a average score is based on information provided is 2,97 publisher. While the average score is based on their perception of information is received 2,67 rare books.
