Abstract

Character education is the foundation of the nation that is very important and needs to be fostered to children. At the present time, the characters are hard to fi nd in the Indonesian society. Efforts to build the character of the people of Indonesia have been done in various ways, one of which is the change in curriculum, from SBC became Curriculum 2013. The success of education can not be separated from the role of educator. Furthermore, the nature of character education is an ongoing process and never ends, resulting in a continuous quality improvement, which is aimed at the realization of the fi gure of the future leaders, and rooted in cultural values of the nation.
