Abstract

This study aims to determine how the interpersonal communication between counseling teachers in providing counseling services seta motivate student interest VII class-i at Junior High School 15 Yogyakarta. In this study, researchers used a descriptive method with qualitative approach. Methods of data collection is done by the process of interview, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data used method is an extension method of participation, persistence observation, triangulation and holding member check. Results of this study in general, counseling services provided counseling teachers have been effective guidance service to do it personally and socially, providing motivation interest in learning, provision of counseling services directly to class and give strict punishment to students who break school rules. However, maximum service is not comparable to the level of interpersonal communication and counseling learning interest which decreased power interests. This happens students are able to solve their own problems, their fears when counseling teachers for counsel to then culminate with the calling of parents and students who have trouble ketidakkejujuran counseling teachers to communicate and the average student is troubled boys. This resulted in the role of counseling teachers do not run optimally, the students did not become proactive and reduced levels of learning achievement of class VII-i.
