Abstract

Background of this research is many of social phenomenon for criminality act among the adolescent children, and moreover it is ended up into the law and convicted criminal as their punishment. It is also had to influences of psychological well being of the elder, especially the parents who have the children in convict statue. Therefore, this researches is conducted up to present and revealing the psychological well being of the parents who have the children in convict statue, and what is factors was being influences. This research using qualitative research methods, and the data was taken by interview and observation. In additional, some journal and document about this study was included. Suject of this studi is two parents, who have the adolescent children in convict statue and it is located at Papringan Village District of Sleman Yogyakarta. The result of study, in commonly there was psychological well being among them, from the first subject and the second’s has the simillar condition on their psychological well being aspects such: Self Acceptance, positive relationship with other, purpose in life, and also personality improvements. Meanwhile, on the aspect of Autonomy and environmental mastery has impact differentialy, it caused by the characters individuality itself has the differences. Social supporting from the people around them, sincerity, and grateful in every way was happened to them, being the secondary factors of psychological well being. In contrary, economical factor and blaming theirself as the feeling guilty for the children is the obstruction toward on informan’s psychologycal well being.
