Abstract
By studying the novel of al-Qahirah al-Jadidah (The New Cairo) the work of Najib Mahfuz, this work examines the dinamica discourses among graduate students of University of Cairo Egypt. First, it focuses on students’ main stream discourses and debate on idiolgy issues and its change and the trends which never meet each others. Secondly, it analyzes their debate on the issues and the trends of political development that speak of democracy and human rights. Finally, it argues how the students argue and respon to the social issues and trends which provoke social changes in the lower middle class.
