Abstract

This research is aimed to know the idea (description) of the dynamics of the work ethic of disability people. The backgroud of this research is the of issue about the lack of the access from the government for the disability people in the employment field so that most of them choose as an entrepeneurs. That interest makes the researcher gind out how the ethic of the disabled that work in Yogyakarta, especially in Bantul regency. The researcher chooses Bantul as the research location because of her interest of some education toys. Those toys were displayed in a handicraft exhibition to where the researcher ever visited some stores of that made by a disability people who work in Bantul regency. This research is a qualitative model. The approach of this research is descriptive approach. Descriptive research is to obtain the answer relating to one’s opinion, idea or perception about an issue. The type of descriptive qualitative research used in this research is aimed to obtain the information about the work ethic of the disability people that work in Bantul. This research involving a four disability informant that work in Bantul. The data collecting process in this research uses interview method. The result of the research show different in work ethic among disability people. As disability people, those research subjects are aware of the different obstacle that hinder their work. However their intrinsic motivation such as determination, hard work and discipline aswell is able to support them to keep working in their limitation. Those four informants have their own way to face various obstacles so that their work can do fluently.
