Abstract

Career decision making is the most important thing that must be done by every graduate who has completed his education. However, due to the lack of fields and career opportunities today, it often causes stress experienced by fresh graduates. The cause of stress will cause stress symptoms that can interfere with activities. These stress symptoms need to be overcome so that they do not cause long-term negative impacts. One thing that can be done is to apply coping of stress. This study aims to determine the coping stress strategies used by fresh graduates in making career decisions. This study is a type of field research using qualitative descriptive methods and data collection methods in the form of interviews, observations and documentation. This study was conducted on 2 informants who were fresh graduates who experienced stress in making career decisions. The results show that some common problems faced by fresh graduates in making career decisions include: Limited number of jobs, obstacles to many job seekers, pressure from parents, and difficulty in finding a suitable career. The coping of stress used is centered on the problem, namely: planning problem solving, confronting, and seeking social support and the one centered on emotions is: giving a positive assessment, getting closer to Allah.
