Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) Develop Physics module with problem based learning approach to facilitate grade X of Senior High School students’ critical thinking skill on static fluid materials 2) Find out the quality of Physics module with problem based learning approach to facilitate grade X of Senior High School students’ critical thinking skill on static fluid materials 3) Find out students’ response on Physics module with problem based learning approach to facilitate grade X of Senior High School students’ critical thinking skill on static fluid materials. This was a Research and Development (R&D) with procedural model. The procedure in this research was developing 4-D; define, design, develop, and disseminate which developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel. The procedure in this research was limited to develop step. This research was conducted as far as to widespread experiment. The instrument of this research was assessment sheet on the quality of module for materials and media expert, and Senior High School teachers, by applying Likert scale in the form of checklist. However, the instrument for students applied Guttman scale in the form of checklist. The result of the research was in the form of Physics module with problem based learning approach to facilitate grade X of Senior High School students’ critical thinking skill on static fluid materials. According to material and media expert, and Senior High School teachers was Very Good (SB) with average score 3,41, 3,33 and 3,51. The students’ response on the limited and widespread experiment was valued on Agree (S) category with average score 0,77 and 0,80 of each.
