Abstract

This research aims: 1) compiling IPA module type webbed with the theme of blood pressure for students of SMP/MTs on 8th grade, 2) knowing the quality of Science module viewed from experts’ judgement in material, media, as well as teacher of SMP/MTs, 3) knowing the response of the student to the Science module module type webbed with the theme of blood pressure for students of SMP/MTs on 8th grade 4) the result of application the Science module type webbed with the theme of blood pressure for learning. The method in this research is an R & D with procedural model, adapting a development and research procedure of Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel with 4 steps : those are (1) define; (2) design; (3) develope; (4) and disseminate. This research was carried out to develope step at a large scale field test. The techniques of collecting data are document analysis, assessment and questionnaires. The research instruments used are criticism and suggestion sheets of validators, scoring sheets of module quality using Likkert scale in checklist form for material expert, media expert, and SMP/MTs teacher, as well as questionnaire of students’ response and observation learning activity sheet using Likkert scale in checklist form. The research result are: 1) was developed Science module type webbed with the theme of blood pressure for students of SMP/MTs on 8th grade, 2) the quality of module is very good (SB) based on assessment of material expert, media expert, Science teacher of SMP/MTs with average score 3,31; 3,72; 3,84, 3) the students’ response of 8th grade SMP/MTs toward the developed Science module type webbed either in small scale field testing and large scale field testing included strongly very agree (SS) category with the whole sequential average score 3,30 and 3,26, and 4) the result of application Science module type webbed with the theme of blood pressure in preliminary field testing included good (B) with the whole sequential average score 3,17 and main field testing included very good (SB) with the whole sequential average score 3,39. The result shows that the developed Science module type webbed with the theme of blood pressure can be used as one of learning reference for students of SMP/MTs on 8th grade.
