Abstract

Atiqah Ainur Rahma (11140010), 2016. Utilization Journal of Psychology In Psychology Student Thesis UGM in 2012 At the Library Faculty of Psychology (Based Study citation analysis). The study aims: (1) To know the percentage of utilization psychology journals published abroad are subscribed by the library and psychology journals published in the country owned by the library in preparing the Faculty of Psychology Faculty of Psychology student thesis in 2012 at the library of the Faculty of Psychology UGM (based on citation analysis studies), (2) determine the percentage utilization ratio between journals published abroad and in the country used as reference UGM psychology student research thesis in 2012, (3) determine the percentage recency of journals used as reference research student thesis Faculty of psychology in 2012. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, with research subjects Psychology Student Thesis UGM 2012, and the object of research is the Journal both within and outside the country used as a reference in the writing of a thesis student at the Faculty of Psychology in 2012. The results of this study indicate that: (1) a journal published both at home and abroad are equally used as a reference source in the writing of students of Faculty of Psychology thesis in 2012, but based on the percentage obtained (12.72%) against the outside of the journal citation subscribed land and (2.44%) against domestic quotations subscribed journals included in the criteria for very low utilization. (2) Comparison of utilization among journals published abroad and in the country used as reference thesis psychology student UGM in 2012 showed that the journal published abroad in the writing as much as 3,042 times the percentage (94%) and journals published in the country is cited as 190 times with a percentage (6%), (3) Journal were used as reference for a research thesis students of Faculty of Psychology in 2012 showed that there were 2190 citations (67.76%) which is used as a source journal literature student thesis Faculty of Psychology UGM included in the category of advanced, 1028 citations (31.81%) Journals included in the category are not current.
