Abstract

This research aims to analysis of purchase materials for the library in Library and Archives Office of Magelang Regency. This research was qualitative in nature. Method of data collection in this research used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research it can be concluded that purchase as long as it is done once a year and by 2016 is planned to be done twice a year involving the Committee consisting of the user of library, a team of technical, procurement officials and PPTK. How to purchase made through agents with direct appointment of the counterparty. The purchase is done by considering the needs of user, the suitability of the prospective partners, and document achievement of target library materials purchased within budget. The means used in the purchase, namely brochures and catalogs from the Publisher with the actual steps of purchase includes the preparation of a list of proposals, reservations, acceptance, and examination. In the purchase budget policy tailored to the budget specified in strategic plan 5 annual GRANT funds sourced from Magelang Regency. Obstacles faced in purchasing i.e. the purchase time frame too long (the book has not been published and do not update) and difficulties in availability of compatibility of materials the library on library material needs partners.
