Abstract

This research discusses information serach strategies for Deaf SMALB students at Temanggung state special schools. The aim of this research is to find out how Deaf SMALB students are experiencing problems finding information on Google, accessing inforamtion on Google, helping Googloe information using the internet and the process of searching for information. SMALB Deaf stundents need the ability to read information on Google becasue they want to get extensive information. This research will use qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used in the research were observation, interviews and documentation for the purposes of informants in the research, totaling seven SMALB deaf stdunets. The subject of the research in learning to develop and search for easier Google information. Menawhile, the object of the research in searching for information on Google which will make reading the information very easy. The results of conducted bt Deaf students found it difficult to find information about AND, OR and NOT or advanced searches because it was difficult to finf them and they did not understand searching like that. An information search strategy that frequently searches for information search goals, is frequently accessed and uses keywords, therefore the information search strategy is very easy and comfortable with a one-way focus. Deaf stundents are able to focus on visuals by reading more easily, such as being able to use Google images.
