Abstract
This study is a qualitative descriptive aimed to determine what kind of librarian paradigm in the Library UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in carrying out its role as supporting tri dharma college. As the informants in this study is a librarian who were selected using purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. To analyze the data using the method of Miles and Huberman. The conclusion of this study contains three aspect of the librarian paradigm about the role of Library in supporting the tri dharma. The first aspect of dharma education, which is currently librarians also need to partner with academic lecturer and students, both for teaching. Library are required to be a professional in serving user because librarians are agents of knowledge transfer. The second aspect of dharma study, that the important research conducted by the librarian and also claimed his profession. Librarians also charged partnered with professors or researchers to do research. The third aspect of devotion dharma where librarians University Library also has a responsibility to make public the information literacy and knowledge through devotion.
