Abstract

Network communication technology is a series of interconnections between technologies that are interconnected with each other. One of communications technology and wireless data services that are currently being famous and many users are 3G and 4G networks. With the network will facilitate the user in the use of the internet in daily life. But with the differences in terms of access speed is certainly necessary to test the network. Therefore, to get the quality of a network to provide a good service it is necessary to Sevices Quality of service (QoS). Service in this test focused on four parameters, namely: throughput, latency, jitter and packet loss. To measure the performance of 3G and 4G networks using the Quality of Services (QoS), analysis and testing are used with the aim to see the representation of the current state. From these results, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the results of testing of 3G and 4G networks. So the 4G network has two times more likely to have an increase in throughput, latency, jitter and packet loss. However, from the second network technology can be used as consideration for the user in the use of the internet according to his needs
