Abstract
The early period of Islam in India based the future growth of civilization. This research aims to describe and analyze how did Islam spread in India from the period of Prophet and of Muhammad Ghuri, what were its impact on socio-political aspects in India, and how was the cultural relation between Arab and India. There exists two results of this research: (1) the process of the spread of Islam in India since the Prophet period until the raising of Delhi Sultanate; and (2) the contribution of Islam to the Indian civilization.
