Abstract

Academic Information System (aka. SIA) is a system that capable to process academic information accurately and on time. Each activity which using manual procedure like KRS, exam registrasion, final task, yudisium registrasion, graduation registrasion, and many other can be done by using online procedure. By mean time technology like a ticking bom which could explode anytime when maintenance and system upgrade not well-balance and doing periodicly. Each many easy way give any new problems that reveal on online academic activity service. The one problem that system always got stress point when many user access and sending demand at the same time. This chronic problem usually happen and felt annoying to student when there was a major academic activity like input KRS time. Too many wave that access the system wasn’t equal with the infrastructure which made many system error. In order to fix the problem, it should be a proper policy to make SIA to operate optimally and normally progress that can be done with choose a maximum weight. This data could be known from system documentation and stress testing result. This test can be done by using a freeware called Webserver Stress Tool 8. In this freeware, there was 2 scenario which can be used for stress testing on SIA with Ramp Test and Time Test. Webserver Stress Tool 8 using Brute Force method for test simulation. Based on result test and documentation data of State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga’s Academik Information System. For maximum weight that could be operated at normal state between 180 to 281 user at the same time on the system.
