Abstract

This study discusses how the function of group communication in Chapter Juventus Club Indonesia Jogjakarta (JCICJ). JCICJ is a football fan groups based in Italy that Juventus Football Club. This study focuses on the primary members of this community who joined with approximately a minimum of 2 years. This study also used descriptive qualitative data collection techniques such as interviews and documentation. Mechanical Data analyst of this research as a data model (data display), data reduction, and verification conclusion. This study is associated with several groups of Sendjaja communication functions, including: social relationships, education, persuasion, problem solving, and therapy. Research on communication-related functions in maintaining loyalty group consisting of: abide by the rules, responsibility and working attitude. The results of this study indicate that the function of group communication in JCICJ group, have some positive role in this community. Members of this group have the values to maintain the loyalty include: abide by the rules, responsibility and working attitude that consists of a willingness to work together, a sense of belonging, interpersonal relations. So that these groups managed to maintain their loyalty. Key Words : group communication, group communication functions, community, group loyality
