Abstract

National Education vision is oriented towards the realization of the educational system as a social institution that is strong and authoritative in order to empower all citizens of Indonesia. Indonesian people are expected to be developed and qualifi ed so as to be the answer of the challenge which has been increasingly advanced. In this era of globalization, it makes Indonesia's young generation is in a position that is in the midst of rapid fl ow of information so freely. Along with advances in information technology and telecommunications, the role of the teacher in the learning process is needed to deliver the young generation national character. Th e most important agenda in the context of the development of the nation's character is the collective reformation of the components of the nation to be able to make the turn or changes aft er undergoing every learning process. Keywords: character, PAI, quality human *** Visi Pendidikan nasional diorientasikan pada terwujudnya sistem pendidikan sebagai pranata sosial yang kuat dan berwibawa guna memberdayakan semua warga negara Indonesia. Diharapkan manusia Indonesia berkembang dan berkualitas sehingga mampu menjawab tantang zaman yang telah semakin maju. Di era globalisasi ini telah menempatkan generasi muda Indonesia pada posisi yang berada di tengahtengah derasnya arus informasi yang sedemikian bebas. Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi, peran guru dalam proses pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengantarkan generasi muda yang berkarakter kebangsaan. Agenda terpenting dalam konteks pembinaan karakter bangsa adalah adanya reformasi kolektif terhadap komponen-komponen bangsa untuk sanggup melakukan pergantian atau changes setelah menjalani setiap proses pembelajaran.
