Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of life with disabilities (traffic accident survivors) in DI.Yogyakarta. So that can be known about the causes, processes, and effects of their subjective experience in achieving a quality life. The informant in this research consist of two people. Both informants are disabled by traffic accidents and domiciled in Yogyakarta. This research uses qualitative method with case study approach. The method of data collection used this research are interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the difabel can rise from its downfall after a traffic accident and it is influenced by several factors that is 1) Spiritual 2) family support 3) Wedding Status 4) Social Support. Difabel has a quality of life that is manifested with several aspects of disability that have positive values and good judgment of his current life, better physical changes, have hope and be responsible for his own life, independent, optimistic, have the ability to solve problems, have Control in managing emotions, can take lessons from life, spirit and realistic toward good things that can be done, and have gratitude and patience.
