Abstract

The micro industry of the poor in the industrial sector in District Kokap is one of the empowerment activities of micro, small and medium enterprises based on the people's economy. The problem faced by the micro enterprises of the poor in the industrial sector in District Kokap is low competitiveness. Methodologically, this research uses qualitative method. Data is taken through observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the business development strategy empowered by the poor in the field of coconut sugar industry is a partnership strategy, empowerment and venture capital. Factors affecting the micro business of the poor in the industrial sector in District Kokap include the supporting factors and the constraining factors. Business supporting factors include abundant natural resources, human resources (skill), service partnerships and sales, 100% original products of organic coconut sugar, and Jatirogo Cooperative as a container of production. While the inhibiting factors of business include, the weather is volatile, the less productive yellow and red palm trees produce coconut palm, high poverty, unhealthy body condition, and the selling price of palm sugar in the cooperative is lower than the selling price of palm sugar outside cooperative, Usaha mikro warga miskin di bidang industri di Kecamatan Kokap merupakan salah satu kegiatan pemberdayaan usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah yang berbasis ekonomi kerakyatan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi usaha mikro warga miskin di bidang industri di Kecamatan Kokap adalah daya saing yang rendah. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data diambil melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan usaha yang diberdayakan oleh warga miskin di bidang industri gula kelapa adalah strategi kemitraan, pemberdayaan dan modal ventura. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi usaha mikro warga miskin di bidang industri di Kecamatan Kokap meliputi faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat usaha. Faktor pendukung usaha meliputi sumber daya alam yang melimpah, sumber daya manusia (skill), kemitraan jasa dan penjualan, produk 100% original gula kelapa organik, dan Koperasi Jatirogo sebagai penampung hasil produksi. Sedangkan factor penghambat usaha meliputi, cuaca yang mudah berubah, jenis pohon kelapa kuning dan merah yang kurang produktif menghasilkan nira kelapa, kemiskinan yang tinggi, kondisi tubuh yang tidak sehat, dan harga jual gula kelapa di koperasi lebih rendah daripada harga jual gula kelapa di luar koperasi.
