Abstract

Business is a very exciting job to run. Some businesses that will never stop until the end of time are food business, fashion and fun. Because every human will always need it. One example is the food business, everyone will need food intake. But this business is not always run smoothly because a lot of competition on it. Especially in Yogyakarta that has a tight business competition. In order to compete with other companies besides the quality of food sold also must have strong organizational communication and have good employee performance. This is what makes Mr. Teto did so to compete with other companies in Yogyakarta. But in the application sometimes there are still communication barriers that appear such as misunderstanding in delivering or receiving messages, sometimes also work tasks employees who are not done. So it makes employee performance of Mr. Teto less than the maximum in doing the job. Therefore, researcher will research the communication messages of organizations implemented by employees during this time to improve employee performance Mr. Teto restaurant, Yogyakarta. This research will refer to the classification of communications messages of organizations that have applied by Mr. Teto to increase the performance of the employees, so able to minimize the barriers of communication and can compete with other food business. This research uses qualitative descriptive method in the form of in-depth interviews to competent resource persons in the field. Mr. Teto has been implementing a good classification of organizational communication messages to improve employee performance. But there are still many points in the implementation has not run optimally. One of them is about employee discipline that is not fully applied. But it does not give so much effect for Mr. Teto in decreasing of employee performance. Keywords: business, organization communication , employee performance
