Abstract

The popularity phenomenon Awkarin among adolescents to date is still the center of attention in social media. One of the social media used by Awkarin is YouTube. In the channel YouTube of Awkarin often upload vlog that are considered to represent her lifestyle. Perceptions of one's acceptance of messages conveyed through media can vary from one to another. This can be influenced by several factors such as educational background, age and social environment conditions. So that each person has different opinions and views on something they are seen from the media. It is also experienced by teenagers especially MAN 1 Yogyakarta students. When viewing Awkarin's vlogs on Youtube. This research explains how adolescent receptions of Awkarin's lifestyle aspects are contained in her vlog. This research is to know how the reception of student MAN 1 Yogyakarta to aspects Awkarin lifestyle in the vlog impressions on Youtube. This research uses descriptive qualitative method Data collected by using interview, observation, and documentation. To check the validity of data using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that adolescent acceptance of Awkarin's lifestyle aspects in her vlog tends to be negative. Adolescents argue that Awkarin's lifestyle implements a free and unlike adolescent lifestyle in general when viewed from his age. It can be seen from the activities, interests, and opinions shown in her blog contains things that are not in accordance with the norms and culture of society in general.
