| Uncontrolled Keywords: | Nonverbal communication became an important thing done by coaches against athletes in the game. Because the likes of athletes are in the process of fighting during the game, so the coach provides direction by giving the nonverbal cues. This study explains how to apply nonverbal communication by the coach to the athletes when competing to be more directed in the opponent's position. This research is to find out how the trainer's nonverbal communication to Tae Kwon Do athlete confidence in the match. This reseacrh used qualitative descriptive method. The data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation. To check the validity of the data using triangulation of sources. The results of this research showed that nonverbal communication can foster a sense of athlete's confidence as long as the athlete can understand the communication done by the trainer in a nonverbal way and also there are already techniques provided by the trainer. Nonverbal communication is done by the coach is in a state of urgency when facing an opponent. Communication made by.
