Abstract

Tarling music is a small piece of art that comes from Indramayu-West Java which has the value of local wisdom noble in which there are prophetic values. From these prophetic values then researchers try to describe it, because the researchers believe that every local wisdom of art that comes from any area without exception definitely has a value of local wisdom that is not much different from other areas. So with such a background this research brings up a discussion about what kind of local wisdom values in tarling music is, is there a correlation with prophetic values? This study describes the tarling music as a communication medium in which lyrics and tone that became the focus of his analysis. Because the communication has a kind of verbal and nonverbal, from both types of communication, then researchers analyze it with descriptive method or in the form of a deep narrative, which from the analysis unit and then analyzed with prophetic values in which there are values of liberation, humanization, and transcendence. The results of this study describe that from the analysis unit in tarling music such lyrics and tone there are prophetic values that is the value of liberation, humanization and transcendence in it.
