Abstract

Today, human life can not be separated from the role of the media, almost all people use social media as a primary needs. Media is one of the sources of information in modern life whether it is print or electronic that can also be regarded as a source of education, entertainment that can affect one of the phenomena that may occur to trends in wearing Hijab, not just adults but also has been entrenched in teenagers especially female students, hijab styles of currently are always updated and more fashionable so that looks do not seem old-fashioned. Trend of hijab in Indonesia itself experienced a very significant development but now become the pros and cons because it has started to deviate from the rules in the Islamic Shari'ah, the hijab trend has also started to shift toward the western fasion. The purpose of this research is to study how much influence of social media exposure to interest of hijab fashion, this research used quantitative method by spreading questionnaire, the object of this study is the influence of exposure of hijab ads in social media, and the subject is 100 respondents female college students are studying in economics in faculty of business economics UGM Yogyakarta. Technique sampling that used is probality sampling. The result of this research is linear regression analysis shows that social media exposure variable have positive influence to the interest of fashion to The Economic students at UGM Yogyakarta student. with a probability value of t-count 0.000 < Level science in faculty of Bussiness and Economic of Significant = 0.05, then the hypothesis is accepted. This can be interpreted, if the exposure of social media increased partially, then the interest of fashioned Student FEB UGM Yogyakarta will increase.
