Abstract

Sedekah is a one of good deeds, has been commanded in the Al-Qur'an and Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. Sedekah are always linked in money form or giving some of their wealth to others, one of the conditions of the object to be used to sedekah is the object is not a haram or illegally obtained.The wealth is derived from various ways with business, inheritance, grants and others, its including by buying and selling. What if there are done to obtain the wealth, including with buy and selling that is not in accordance with Islamic Shariah, one of them is a discotheque business in which sell liquor and which place who serve the customer with various activity that contains maksiat. Then, wealth which gained from such haram bussines are used for charity and some religious social activities. The type of this research is field reseach, research conducted directly to the object of research in the field to get information. This stydy is analytical descriptive, it describes and analyzes by using data sources that have been collected or the informations obtained by interviewing directly. the research was used as the focus to analyze religious social activities in discotheq T in Yogyakarta with a normative and sociological approach. The results of this study can show and confirm that it is true, in discotheq T Yogyakarta routinely with Islamic religious activities and social activities for pesantren as well as showing some facts or motives can be the reason of the discotheque owner to organize religious social activities is held as a form of return on remuneration discotheque owners of accepted in the majority society of Islamic ummah. Based on some references to the verses of the Qur'an and Hadith, that while Allah establishes something illegitimate or haram it will remain forbidden and haram, in this case the wealth is still unlawful for the owner of the wealth , but not for the poor or recipients of sedekah. Jumhur ulama provide a way out that the wealth of the haram can be distributed but it just can used for something that is called maqasid al-ammah or that can be utilized by the general public such as public facilities
