Abstract

Communication can not exclude from culture, the outcome of the meeting can be positive and negative for everyone, in this case our habits are confronted with people who have differences, Allowing a person to interact with each other to enable what can be understood and walk while doing interaction. This Government Employes from Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) in Family Planning Service and Women Empowerment Office in Lumajang Regency will be faced with Lumajang community, especially Assistant of Family Planning who have custom, habit, character different with NTB . In this case as PLKB would have to adapt adjust communication behavior when berintaraksi with Assistant KB. The process of adaptation of intercultural communication in this study uses the approach of communications accommodation, namely how PLKB from NTB customize, modify or manage communication behavior in order to run smoothly, which in this case can be seen by using units of convergence analysis, divergence, and over accommodation. Through this phenomena that PLKB from NTB origin use of communication and often use a way of convergence in adjusting communication behavior with Assistant KB.
