Abstract

This research entitled “Evaluation of Information System Based on Librarian Response at Indonesian Institute of The Arts at Surakarta” (ISI Surakarta) which aims to know the performance of information system seen from 6 (six) aspects, namely usefulness, ease of use, content, accuracy, shape (form) and timeliness. The research method used is qualitative method. The qualitative research of the main instrument is the researcher himself (human instrument), which serves to establish the focus of the research, selecting the informant as the primary data source, collecting the data, assessing the data quality, analyzing the data, interpreting the data and drawing conclusions on the findings. Determination technique of informants that will be used in this research is Purposive Sampling Technique is the selection of informants based on certain criteria determined by the researcher to find suitable informants for the research. In addition, researchers are also an informant involved, researchers often menggunakaan information system used as research. Data analysis was done by using trianggulation technique that is analyzed by comparing the data of interview with observation data to then be concluded. This research using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) can be concluded that library information system has provided benefit for librarian to track information. Librarians are satisfied with the information system because they already feel the benefits are high. Librarians are quite satisfied with the ease of use of information systems. In another aspect that librarians are not satisfied with the content and accuracy, because of invalid information between the database and reality. In terms of information system format can provide satisfaction. In terms of timeliness is also able to provide satisfaction librarians, because it provides current and timely information. The results of this research are expected to be input and thought for the Indonesian Institute of The Arts Surakarta Library, which is how the performance of information system in the Library of Indonesian Institute of The Arts at Surakarta. For developers, it is expected to provide information to the librarians of the systems they have designed, so as to contribute as the basis for the development of library information systems.
