Abstract

Online media is means the information provider that we can access easily and quickly. Less or more, there is 100 online media that has been verified by Indonesian Press Council. NU Online is one of the islam-based online media in Indonesia. It present politic news, local culture even international. It also social phenomenon in society. Some time ago, HTI, one of the islam-based community organization in Indonesia had time to become hot topic, starting from khilafah issue until the discourse of the dissolution of this organization by Indonesian Goverment. News about that dissolution is also published by NU online. Based of the explanation above, author want to analyze and make formulation of the problem: “is the news in NU Online as the online media supporting the dissolution of HTI”. With references on the background of the problem and formulation of the problem, then, the purpose of this study is to know about how is the content of the news on Nu Online related to HTI’s dissolution by Indonesian Goverment issues on website nu.or.id. Theory that used in this study is media theory. Based on the explanation above, study methode that used in this study is analysis with quantitative models by Eriyanto with the Chi Square formulas to calculate the data from preparations that made by the author and also two coder has been prepared by the author to get reliabilty on this study. Conclusion of this study is content of the news in NU Online mostly is support the Indonesian Goverment to dissolve HTI. In the presentation, the news in NU Online is balanced, even sometime, some news in NU Online impressed like cornering HTI.
