Abstract

The background of this research is that education has an important role to ensure the development and survival of a nation, because education is a place to improve and develop the quality of human resources and can develop the creativity of students in learning. Class I MI Ma'arif Klangon began implementing scientific learning since 2014. In that year, another SD/MI school in the Kalibawang sub-district had not yet implemented saintifk learning. This study aims to describe the application of scientific learning and the development of creativity for class I children at MI Ma'arif Klangon. According to M. Hosnan Learning with a scientific approach is a learning process with a scientific approach (Scientific), including: digging information through observation, questioning, experimenting, then processing data or information, reasoning, concluding. This research is a qualitative research that describes systematically the facts found on a verbal field or sentence. The object in this study are activities which are a form of implementation of Scientific Learning. The method of data collection in this study using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis through the process of collecting data, reducing data, displaying data and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using continuous observation, triangulation and member check. The results of scientific learning research at MI Ma'arif Klangon include observing, asking questions, gathering information, reasoning and communicating. Observing activities, asking the teacher does not provide broad opportunities for students, besides that grade I children still need guidance from the teacher because not all children want to ask questions. In reasoning children have learned to compare, group and measure but still need teacher guidance. With scientific learning children learn by seeing, holding, listening, gathering a lot of information and children discovering their own knowledge so as to stimulate their creativity and curiosity. By asking children to be more confident because children are able to think and talk without feeling embarrassed. By reasoning can train the emergence of children's creativity in learning. By communicating the teacher gives freedom to children to explore their creativity such as drawing, making toys for rescue boats, sticking and more. The development of creativity by class I children produced many creative works including painting, sticking, folding, coloring, mosaic. Keywords: Scientific Learning, Creativity
